Born in the historic gold-mining town of Acton, California, 31st Select is dedicated to reviving the spirit of the past through meticulously crafted moonshine. We honor Acton's rich heritage by blending time-honored distilling techniques with a commitment to excellence, delivering a distinctive flavor that tells a story in every sip.

Our Background

We started 31st Select 7 years ago as an experiment to make a unique whiskey. Whiskey however starts out as an unaged clear spirit (moonshine) , once we perfected this recipe we realized our moonshine was something unique. We devoted all our attention to our moonshine and changing the misconception of what this spirit can taste like. Years later we went legal creating 31st Select Sprits LLC not only do we have a love for moonshine but also the western spirit that lives on within the United States. Living in and operating out of Acton, CA a small ranching community we wanted to incorporate our towns rich history into the spirit we developed. 31st Select Spirits name derived from California being the 31st state admitted to the union. We are the 1st California Craft Moonshine TM, to ever be made. Acton, CA is famed for its gold mining history and moonshine has long been a part of US history and cowboy spirit. Our bottle and label reflect this history, the red rover mine ( one of Acton’s best producing mines ) a gold foil overlay to reference the gold mining history, a textured label reflecting aged paper and a vintage finger hole to bottle.

The PR%F Awards is the only spirits, wine & beverage competition where every single judge is a buyer—decision-makers from national retailers, major airlines, cruise lines, distributors, hospitality groups, liquor stores, casinos, restaurants, dispensaries and more—ensuring that your accolades come from the people who’ll actually put your product on the shelf. Now in its 7th year, the Awards honor innovation and excellence across an extensive range of categories, from classic spirits and wines to functional, alcohol-free, infused, and ready-to-drink beverages.

Entrants can select from three distinct competitions—the Original Spirits, Wine & Beverage Competition, the NEW Infused Awards, and the NEW RTD Awards—and every entry is auto-entered into two judging sections: the Masked (double-blind tasting) for unbiased sensory evaluation, and the Unmasked (total package) for branding, design, and marketability.
